The two most useful properties of the metal are corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio, the highest of any metallic element.
Even though titanium has a relatively low density of 4.506 g/cm3 at room temperature, the bonds between the atoms are so strong that it gives this metal maximum strength and hardness with minimal weight. It is corrosive-resistant, fatigue resistant and height-crack resistant, as well, making it ideal for the construction of aircraft, armour plating, naval ships, spacecraft...and stethoscopes.

Our patented SafetyLock™ eartip adapters lead the
industry in user safety by creating a larger surface area on which
the eartip sits. Most stethoscopes just have a 3mm gauge headset
where the eartip sits. If the eartip comes off this can easily
puncture your inner ear. The MDF SafetyLock™ system rests
on a 5mm gauge headset and provides ample surface area to prevent
this.
